Ultium Cells LLC plants

Ultium Cells facilities are pivotal battery plants responsible for the mass production of GM Ultium batteries utilised in EVs manufactured by GM, including Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC, as well as by its collaborative partners such as Honda and Acura. Operating officially under Ultium Cells LLC, these plants represent a joint venture between GM and LG Energy Solution. Ultium Cells is dedicated to employing cutting-edge methods in the industry to produce top-tier battery cells, ensuring excellence for present and future generations.

In Ohio, production at Ultium Cells is projected to reach 100 million cells in 2024. Insights gained from this facility will guide the development of additional cell plants in Tennessee and Michigan. While the second cell plant in Tennessee has already initiated production, construction efforts are ongoing for the facility in Michigan.
