AEHRA, Italy's leading EV brand, reveals model names alongside ambitious funding and expansion plans, including a new manufacturing site and partnerships

AEHRA, Italy's first global ultra-premium EV brand, has unveiled the names of its groundbreaking first models: the Impeto SUV and the Estasi sedan. The Impeto, named after the Italian word for "impetus," represents a surge of creative energy, while the Estasi, meaning "ecstasy," evokes the intense rapture of admiring true beauty.

Strategic investment and development plans

AEHRA has submitted an ambitious €1.2bn (US$1.3bn) development plan to the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy to secure funding for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The submission highlights AEHRA's potential national strategic importance in delivering sustainable mobility at scale as Italy's only pure-play EV brand.

The company plans to build a new 207,000sqm manufacturing centre in Mosciano Sant'Angelo, in the Abruzzo region, capitalising on the area's expertise in carbon fibre production.

The initiative is expected to create 650 new jobs, with production slated to begin by mid-2026 and a scale-up to 25,000 units per model annually.

Engagement with the Italian government and industry

AEHRA's commitment to innovation and sustainability has led to an invitation to a critical summit on the future of the Italian and European automotive industry.

The summit, chaired by Senator Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, will be held at the Salone degli Arazzi, Palazzo Piacentini in Rome.

Leadership and vision

Hazim Nada, Founder & CEO, AEHRA

Hazim Nada, AEHRA's Founder & CEO, expressed his excitement about the company's future: "We are delighted to unveil the names of the first AEHRA models, the Impeto SUV and the Estasi sedan. These highly conceptual vehicles represent an expression of pure Italian automotive art, an unprecedented fusion of beauty and innovation.

"It will also be immensely gratifying for everyone at AEHRA to have our application for funding endorsed by the Italian government and to be selected as a project of national strategic importance for the establishment of a sustainable mobility ecosystem. It further validates AEHRA's mission to redefine ultra-high premium sustainable mobility by exploiting the latest engineering, battery, and manufacturing technologies."

Strategic partnerships and technological advancements

AEHRA has chosen the Abruzzo region for its carbon fibre expertise and its partnerships with leading academic institutions. The University of L'Aquila, known for its advanced EV engineering centre, will collaborate with AEHRA to develop its cutting-edge 800-km range electric powertrain.

Additionally, AEHRA is partnering with the Polytechnic of Milan to enhance its technological innovations further.

Expanding Market Reach

After debuting its elegant SUV in October 2022 and the sophisticated sedan in June 2023 at the Milan Monza Motor Show, AEHRA is gearing up for a strategic rollout in key markets, including North America, Europe, and the Gulf States.

Deliveries are expected to start in late 2026, marking a significant milestone for the brand's expansion and influence in the global EV market.
