Volkswagen company Elli optimises electric fleets in Europe
German manufacturer Volkswagen Group is home to many well known brands including Audi, Skoda, SEAT and Porsche, as well as the lesser known Elli.
Founded in 2018, the company provides energy and charging solutions, embracing the interface between energy and mobility.
Electrifying fleets in Europe and beyond
Elli is launching an intelligent solution for electric vehicle fleetings, enabling clients to manage and optimise fleet charging, with benefits financially and environmentally.
"The transition to electric mobility is changing the way companies organise their mobility,” explains Giovanni Palazzo, Elli CEO and SVP Volkswagen Group Charging & Energy.
Before moving into his current roles in July 2023, Palazzo served as President and CEO of Electrify America, and President of Electrify Canada. Previously, he held multiple roles for the VW group and Mercedes-Benz Italia, including Head of E-Mobility.
“Electric fleet management differs from classic fleet management because company car drivers aren’t just charging on the road. Companies need a solution that has an integrated multi-national billing system that covers all types of charging cases, from the public fast charging station to the private home charger with a MID energy meter. Elli offers turnkey software and hardware solutions that completely cover this use case.”
With Elli Fleet Charging, the administrative workload is also reduced for both employer and employee, as the Fleet Management Console empowers complete cost transparency and visibility around the clock.
As well as engaging with public charging at one of Europe’s 560,000 charge points, the software manages home charging of the company cars — a digital reimbursement system combined with a smart Elli Charger Pro provides automatic and documented reimbursement of charging costs.
As the engagement increases, expect to see Elli introduce offerings of at-work charging with planning, installation, and maintenance options for standard charging and fast-charging stations on company sites.
