Aquarius Engines' EV Charging Pilot with EnviroCharge
Aquarius Engines entering into a MoU with EnviroCharge marks its latest venture into the US market, highlighting its growing presence in the EV charging sector.
By collaborating with EnviroCharge—a company specialising in EV charging station installation and operation—Aquarius will integrate its innovative systems into the infrastructure of one of the world's largest car rental companies in the US. The pilot is set to begin in 2025.
The project highlights the potential for long-term commercial agreements. If successful, Aquarius anticipates substantial orders for its systems in 2026 and 2027, reflecting the rising demand for clean energy solutions in the EV market.
Ultra-fast, grid-independent charging systems
Aquarius Engines specialises in clean electricity generation through its advanced small generators. By design, the systems support ultra-fast EV charging, enabling efficient fleet operations without reliance on traditional electrical grids.
Gal Friedman, CEO of Aquarius Engines, highlights the project's transformative nature: "We are proud to collaborate with one of the largest and leading car rental companies in the world on this groundbreaking project.
"The project will significantly increase the number of electric vehicles the rental company can charge at its sites, thereby allowing it to rent more vehicles to its customers as a direct result of using our innovative power systems."
"The agreement joins several other significant agreements we have recently signed in the American market. We continue to present our revolutionary system to more and more companies."
Expanding global reach and innovation
Aquarius Engines' unique design—a small, lightweight generator with only one moving part—delivers high efficiency and exceptional power.
With approximately 44 registered patents globally and another 43 patents in progress, Aquarius is a key player in innovative energy solutions.
Its core technology supports multiple fuel types, including hydrogen, ethanol (E85), methanol and LPG. The versatility allows it to target various markets, starting with the telecommunications sector, where it collaborates with industry giants like Nokia to provide green backup power for telecom towers.
- Automotive: Range extenders and fleet power solutions.
- Aviation and maritime: Propulsion technologies.
- Defence: Specialised power systems.
- Commercial trucking: Engine power units for heavy vehicles.
Strategic value and market impact
The agreement with EnviroCharge signals a dual achievement for Aquarius: securing payment for the pilot and fostering partnerships with high-profile companies committed to exploring its technology. The 18-month MoU lays the groundwork for deeper collaboration, pending successful pilot results.
Gal highlights the significance of the milestone: "The dual achievement we are reporting today is both the payment we will receive for conducting the pilot and the type of companies we are collaborating with, companies that are planning to jointly examine and implement our system.
"The collaboration demonstrates our commitment to innovation and green energy, and we look forward to the pilot's success and the broad commercial potential that will follow."
As the EV market accelerates, innovative solutions like Aquarius's grid-independent, ultra-fast charging systems are essential for supporting infrastructure and fleet management.
