Job To Stellantis - Chief Executive

Richard Garbutt has been named Chief Executive of Stellantis &You UK, succeeding Angela Shepherd. The promotion from his role as Sales Director since 2016 capitalises on his extensive experience in New, Used and Fleet operations.

Richard's career in the automotive industry began in 1994 with Peugeot, where he gained diverse experience in sales, aftersales and franchising. In 2005, he moved to retail with Robins & Day, progressing through various management positions and overseeing regions including London and Scotland. The experience gave him valuable insights into evolving automotive trends, particularly the rising demand for electric and hybrid vehicles.

At Stellantis &You UK, he has been instrumental in the company's expansion, working with brands such as Citroën Retail Group, Go Vauxhall including more recently, Fiat and Abarth. He has previously spearheaded the digital transformation of the company's systems, significantly enhancing the performance and profitability of Used Car operations.

Richard's appointment comes at a time of ambitious multi-franchise expansion for Stellantis &You. Recent developments include the launch of Fiat and Abarth in West London, Vauxhall in Birmingham It plans for a six-brand showroom in Bristol featuring Alfa Romeo and Jeep.

As Chief Executive, Richard aims to continue the company's high-performance trajectory while emphasising employee engagement and personal development. He will focus on putting people and customer experience at the forefront of the business. He will leverage his hands-on experience with changing customer needs to drive Stellantis &You UK's continued growth and success.
