Exclusive Video: Franco Cimatti brings power to the AEHRA EV
The final piece to the AEHRA Sedan’s puzzle is in the internal details—the propulsion system will enable it to meet its targets of power and efficiency. To manage the process of acquiring these components, the ultra-premium luxury electric vehicle (EV) startup brought on board Franco Cimatti as its Chief Engineering Officer.
With decades of experience in automotive and a number of applications of its world-class engineering skills, Cimatti has delivered exceptional outcomes for the likes of Fiat Chrysler, Ferrari, and Geely Motors working on the Lotus sports car lineup.
Today his attention turns to the future and resulted in his appointment to the AEHRA team to get to grips with the propulsion systems required by its SUV and Sedan models.
At the unveiling of the Sedan at the Milano Monza (MIMO) Motor Show 2023, Cimatti told us about some of the more technical advances made since he joined the team, which were not yet ironed out upon the release of the SUV in November 2022.
“I actually came in contact with this project before I joined the company. Even just by looking at a car, I can understand what the possibilities could be,” says Cimatti.
“It’s like what we do with any other vehicle, we’re trying to push the envelope.”
Cimatti’s position at AEHRA will mainly support the adoption of the electric power system, which is to be supplied by its new-found partner Miba Technologies—resulting in an off-the-shelf system that adheres to sustainability principles without the need for bespoke architecture.
