The Institute of the Motor Industry is Driving Diversity
Every year The IMI Annual Dinner and Awards ceremony celebrates automotive excellence and honours the businesses and people who make a difference in their zone.
The IMI is a professional group for those working in the motor industry and is a source for automotive careers information and standards. It is based in Hertford, England and was founded in 1920.
The Institute of the Motor Industry and electric vehicles qualifications
IMI offers electric vehicle vocational and vocationally-related qualifications which are designed to help students build and showcase their skill-set in the ever-expanding electric and hybrid vehicle sector. The qualifications cover various areas in EVs, from maintenance and repair of systems to the components inside electric vehicles.
This year, the IMI Annual Dinner and Awards 2024 will take place at the InterContinental Hotel, London, on 13th March. The finalist shortlist was announced on the 24th of January.
“Once again, we have been impressed and inspired by the talent displayed by the trainees and the dedication of the organisations nominated,” said Steve Nash, CEO of the IMI. “The past few years have seen significant change and an even more significant challenge in our industry. But the nominees for these awards clearly demonstrate the resilience and the drive that have kept the industry moving forwards.”
