How BP is reshaping the EV manufacturing landscape

BP's bp pulse is reshaping sustainable charging networks for a Net Zero Future. Hear more from bp’s Ulrich Angeli at Manufacturing Digital LIVE

BP is reshaping the EV manufacturing landscape with its EV charging business, bp pulse and partnerships with other leaders in the field.

Bp & Tesla are working towards a sustainable future, with sustainable energy

Founded in 1909, British Petroleum began selling gasoline, fuel and other chemicals, before branching out and selling other forms of energy. Bp aims to be a net zero company by 2050 and help the world also reach net zero.

bp recently announced a deal in which bp pulse will acquire Tesla’s fast charging hardware units, for US$100m. This will enable the expansion of the bp pulse public network in the USA.

"At Tesla, we’re driven to enable great charging experiences for all EV owners,” said Rebecca Tinucci, Tesla's Senior Director of Charging Infrastructure. “Selling our fast-charging hardware is a new step for us, and one we’re looking to expand in support of our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We appreciate bp’s partnership in this area – it’s the right step towards a more sustainable future."

Sustainable business practices at bp

At Manufacturing Digital LIVE, a free virtual event on Wednesday 6th December 2023, the subject of sustainability in manufacturing will be explored by bp’s Ulrich Angeli, CPO Germany, Refining & Manufacturing at bp.

Ulrich Angeli is a procurement leader with more than two decades of experience in the industry. Angeli has held C-suite roles in many of the world’s leading manufacturers, such as General Electric, Siemens and 3M.

Taking to the virtual stage Angeli will provide a thought-provoking sustainability keynote. During his session, Angeli will share insights on the importance of balancing performance and transformation in achieving sustainable business practices.

Angeli will also deep dive into how bp is driving positive change through strategic procurement strategies and embracing innovative solutions.
