Webfleet’s Bridgestone via Bosch unveils Secure Truck Parking, connecting fleets to 100+ safe locations, cutting search times and boosting driver security

Webfleet’s Bridgestone fleet management solution has introduced Secure Truck Parking, a feature designed to help transport companies efficiently locate and reserve secure parking spaces. The initiative, developed in collaboration with Bosch, aims to improve security, reduce search times and enhance driver convenience.

With more than 50,000 businesses worldwide relying on Webfleet to optimise fleet operations, the new Secure Truck Parking feature aims to provide a seamless, integrated solution for logistics and transport operators.

The development builds upon Webfleet’s ongoing partnership with Bosch, first announced at “Bosch Connected World” last year, where Webfleet integrated with Bosch’s Logistics Operating System (L.OS) and Bosch Secure Truck Parking to enhance its suite of fleet management tools.

Addressing a critical industry challenge

The shortage of secure truck parking has long been a concern for transport operators, often resulting in increased fuel costs, scheduling inefficiencies and compromised driver safety.

Jan-Maarten de Vries, President of Fleet Management Solutions at Bridgestone

Webfleet’s new feature directly addresses these challenges by offering a digital reservation system that connects fleets to Bosch’s extensive network of secure parking locations.

“With Secure Truck Parking, we are addressing a major challenge for transport companies – finding safe and secure parking for trucks, cargo and drivers,” said Jan-Maarten de Vries, President of Fleet Management Solutions at Bridgestone.

“With Bosch operating the largest network of secure truck parking spots, Webfleet provides the most comprehensive integration available.”

Streamlined booking and real-time availability

The Secure Truck Parking feature provides fleet managers with a fully integrated booking process and allows them to search for parking spots.

The search base for parking spots is:
  • Location
  • Available facilities
  • Duration of stay
  • Remaining driving time

Additionally, the system integrates with route and order planning, ensuring parking reservations align with logistics workflows and legal driving limits, thereby improving compliance and operational efficiency.

The tool offers:

  • Real-time parking availability updates
  • Easy booking and cancellation options
  • Automatic driver notifications

By reserving secure parking in advance, fleets can minimise delays, reduce fuel consumption and meet security compliance requirements, especially for high-value cargo transport.

Supporting driver wellbeing and safety

Long-haul drivers frequently struggle to find safe and legal parking spaces, often leading to extended hours on the road and heightened fatigue risks. Webfleet’s Secure Truck Parking feature supports driver wellbeing by offering a stress-free way to secure designated parking spaces, reducing the time spent searching for suitable locations.

“By integrating this new feature, we are not only improving logistics but also enhancing the working conditions of drivers,” added Jean-Maarten.

“Ensuring that they have access to safe, secure and strategically located rest areas is crucial for overall efficiency and safety in the industry.”

Availability and cost structure

Secure Truck Parking is available to Webfleet customers in European regions where Bosch operates secured truck parking locations. The service is free for Nav/Live tariff customers and above, with parking fees payable directly to Bosch.

The latest innovation aligns with The Bridgestone E8 Commitment, focusing on eight key areas: energy, ecology, efficiency, extension, economy, emotion, ease and empowerment. The launch marks another milestone in Webfleet’s mission to deliver data-driven solutions that empower fleets to operate more safely, efficiently and sustainably.

With logistics and transport operations becoming increasingly complex, the collaboration between Webfleet and Bosch aims to play a vital role in addressing industry challenges, improving fleet security and ensuring compliance with evolving transport regulations.
