Maserati Unveils GranCabrio Folgore at Chantilly Event
Arts & Elegance Richard Mille
From September 12 to 15, Maserati made its debut at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, showcasing its first 100% electric luxury cabriolet, the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello.
The Chantilly Arts & Elegance, Richard Mille event, is known for blending automotive excellence with haute couture in the historic Domaine du Château de Chantilly.
Maserati's appearance was marked by the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, an exquisite model crafted through Maserati's Fuoriserie customization program.
This one-of-a-kind electric cabriolet draws inspiration from the legacy of Marchesi Antinori, a distinguished Italian winemaking family known for their tradition and innovation—values that align perfectly with Maserati's ethos.
Celebrating Tignanello's 50th anniversary
The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Tignanello wine.
The car made its European debut at Chantilly, following its initial unveiling at the Festival Napa Valley in California.
It previously went under the hammer at the 2024 Arts for All Gala, a major U.S. charity event, adding to its exclusivity and allure.
A showcase of Italian craftsmanship and luxury
In partnership with Marchesi Antinori, Maserati has designed a vehicle with luxury, elegance and advanced craftsmanship.
The model leverages Maserati's tradition and futuristic vision, embodying the Italian brand's dedication to producing high-end, tailor-made automobiles.
The event featured Terrazza Italiana by Giorgetti, an iconic Italian design company.
Giorgetti collaborated with Maserati to create an elegant setting for the event, enhancing the experience for attendees as they admired the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello amidst a collection of classic and modern cars.
Exclusive experiences and test drives
Journalists and select Maserati guests were treated to an exclusive test drive session of the latest models in Maserati's lineup, including the GranTurismo, GranCabrio Trofeo, Folgore, MC20 Cielo and Grecale Folgore.
To complement the automotive experience, participants also enjoyed a special wine tasting with experts from Marchesi Antinori, blending the luxury of Italian craftsmanship with the heritage of Italian winemaking.
The highlight: The Concours d'Etat
The event's highlight was the Concours d'Etat, which brought together 100 extraordinary cars and collectors from around the world.
Among the competitors were several classic Maseratis owned by private collectors, including the Maserati A6G54 by Frua and Zagato, the Maserati 5000GT and the Maserati Quattroporte.
The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello stood out as a representation of Maserati's blend of tradition and modernity.
Giovanni Perosino, Maserati's Chief Marketing & Communication Officer, commented on the significance of the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello's appearance at Chantilly. He highlighted the car as an embodiment of Maserati's luxury image, bespoke craftsmanship and innovation:
"This car is the greatest interpretation of the brand's identity and of a DNA that has always been devoted to innovation," highlighting Maserati's commitment to defining the concept of Italian luxury on a global scale.
The Pinnacle of Maserati's Fuoriserie Program
GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello epitomises Maserati's Fuoriserie customization program, allowing customers to create their dream cars. It combines unmistakable design, extraordinary performance, luxury materials and refined creativity, representing the pinnacle of Italian automotive excellence.
