People Moves in EV - Rivian, Smart, Mer, AMETEK & More

Novotney has a passion for creating incredible products with cutting-edge technology. He can manage multi-hundred-million dollar budgets, negotiate complicated contracts, oversee development agreements and more.
At the University of Utah, Novotney studied B.S. Applied Physics from 1993 to 1997. After a stint at Bay Associates, he joined Apple in 1999 and rose to become Vice President of Engineering. Novotney is an inaugural member of the original iPod team and was instrumental in leading Apple’s first-generation of products.
At Rivian, Novotney’s background in product development and engineering will help the team to improve the way it brings vehicles to market.

2. Jason Allbutt

Allbutt joins Smart from Mercedes-Benz UK as UK CEO.

Allbutt will replace David Browne, who called his time at Smart a ‘privilege’.

Mer has appointed Langenbrink as its new COO. Previously, Langenbrink worked in operations and product management. Langenbrink said she’s impressed by Mer’s track record.

4. Seth Cutler

IONNA has named Seth Cutler as its CEO. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of technical operations at charger networking technology provider EV Connect. In his role, Cutler will begin deploying a network of 30,000 DC fast chargers across the US and Canada.

Job To: General Manager at Farasis Energy Europe
In his role as General Manager at Farasis Energy Europe, Marcel Broemlage will actively shape its growth strategy and strengthen the company’s position as one of the leading providers of battery solutions for electric vehicles.
6. Dalip M. Puri
Job From: Senior Vice President, Operational Finance, AMETEK
Job To: Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, AMETEK
The electrical and electronics manufacturer is heavily involved in electric aviation.
