The LG Electronics USA Business Solutions division provides cutting-edge technology solutions to commercial customers across various sectors, including lodging, hospitality, digital signage, systems integration, healthcare, education, government, and industrial markets.

A strategic partnership enhancing EV charging

The collaboration between ChargePoint and LG will initially focus on integrating ChargePoint's industry-leading charger management software with LG's state-of-the-art EV charging hardware. The commercial charging solutions, set for delivery starting this summer, aim to enhance the EV charging experience globally.

Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint

"LG shares ChargePoint's dedication to providing a world-class charging experience for all EV drivers," Wilmer stated. "Together, leveraging our combined engineering prowess, we aim to develop market-leading solutions and explore new opportunities." Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint, emphasising the joint commitment to delivering top-tier EV charging solutions.

In the future, the partnership is set to explore further synergies, such as integrating ChargePoint's EV charging solutions with LG's energy storage systems, incorporating LG's ThinQ smart home platform into ChargePoint's Home Flex residential charger, and developing chargers that utilise LG's digital-out-of-home advertising platform.

Seamless integration for superior Performance

Under the partnership, LG's AC and DC charging stations will seamlessly integrate with ChargePoint's software, expanding ChargePoint's network of over 306,000 charging ports.

The integration aims to offer ChargePoint customers access to LG's reliable, high-quality EV chargers, particularly in scenarios where ChargePoint's existing hardware solutions may not be optimal.

LG's U.S.-manufactured EV chargers are UL-certified for stability and ENERGY STAR® certified for efficiency. When paired with ChargePoint's FedRAMP-authorised cloud software, the chargers are well-suited for competitive bids on US federal government projects and other public sector infrastructure initiatives.
