
Electric boats are changing the marine eco-system with a blend of innovative technology and a focus on sustainability.
They are battery powered vessels offering an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional ICE vehicles.
According to Morningstar, the market for electric boats was valued at US$7.7 bn in 2025, and is projected to reach US$20.9 bn by 2035, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 10.5% during the forecast period.

10. Fountaine Pajot Aura 51 Smart Electric

The Aura 51 Smart Electric Catamaran is 16 meters long, 8 meters wide and features a 95.2 m mainsail, contains one internal combustion engine, for two electric motors and is part of the group's move towards all-electricity.
Fontaine Pajot is committed to delivering 100% electric Catamarans by 2030.

9. Delphia 11 Sedan

The Delphia 11 Sedan, released in 2022, offers a 55 kW electric motor and is 10.77 m in overall length.
It features an elegant and luxurious design, offers a fully working BBQ and is equipped with eight solar panels fitted on the roof.
The Delphia 11 is the first electric model designed for inland waters, offering a peaceful and eco-friendly sailing experience.
Founded in Poland in 1990, Delphia Yachts became a leader in European boat building. Delphia was acquired by Bruno Thivoyon's Groupe Beneteau in 2021.
8. Riva El-Iseo

The El-Iseo is the brand's first full-electric powerboat. It is modeled on the original Iseo's hull design, capturing the heritage of the traditional craft, while offering a modern eco-friendly alternative.
The El-Iseo is 8.40 m offering a maximum speed of 40 kn and is an eco-friendly boat that can fit six people.
While Riva have history dating back to 1842, they are now known as an icon of contemporary yachting. They were acquired by the Ferretti Group in 2000 and have been continuing to manufacture luxurious and innovative yachts.
7. Godfrey Mighty G

The Mighty G is a 15.8 ft vessel with a six passenger capacity and 50 maximum horsepower.
The boat has two distinct layouts that can be used depending on the preference of the owner, fishing and cruise. The cruise layout features two bow benches and a captain's seat.
The fishing layout features two bow fishing seats, two midship seats and a captain's chair. Both layouts have a focus on optimizing for comfort and space while on the water.
Polaris, which is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, was bought by Godfrey in 2015, along with other pontoon manufacturers Bennington, Hurricane and Rinker.
6. Veer X13

The Veer X13 is the first boat in the Veer line-up designed to support electric propulsion. The Veer brand is crafted by the engineers of Lund Boats, and designed with innovation and sustainability in mind.
The X13 is thirteen ft, has a power output of 750 W and can run for roughly 45 minutes at full throttle. It's powered by sister-brand Mercury's Avatar 7.5 E propulsion system.
The boats are designed to appeal to a new generation of boaters, and make the waters more accessible to everyone.
“Our target consumer is looking for a brand that brings new energy and new thinking to the outdoor experience,” said Matt Atilano, Former Director of Veer Boats & Strategy.
5. Candela C-8 Polestar edition

Candela C-8 vessels use an efficient 75 kW electric direct drive pod motor with a range of up to 57 nautical miles on one charge, offering a cruising speed of 22 kn.
The vessel features a solid grey exterior colour complimented by a lighter grey tone for the interior area.
The boat comes with a high-speed range 2-3 times longer than conventional electric speedboats.
The two Swedish brands reached an agreement for Polestar to supply batteries and charging technology to power Candela's electric hydrofoil boats. Headquartered in Sweden, as of June 2022 Polestar are listed on the Nasdaq exchange in the United States.
4. Maserati Tridente

The Maserati Tridente is a luxury all-electric dayboat. Made of carbon fibre, it is a 10.5 m zero emission powerboat intended for lake and coastal cruising.
With peak power of 600HP and battery capacity of 252 kWh, the vessel delivers a cruising speed of 25 knots, a top speed of 40 knots and recharges in under an hour.
The Tridente can accommodate up to 10 people in the cockpit, which can also be configured for dining.
The boat is made in partnership between Maserati (owned by Stellantis) and Vita Power, a marine technology company that develops electric propulsion systems for commercial and recreational applications.
3. The ICON

The ICON is an eight passenger yacht with a 13.15 m overall length. It features two 100 kw electric motors. With a maximum speed of 33 kn and a cruising speed of 24 kn, the craft focuses on both style and elegance.
The yacht offers emission-free mobility to those who want a stylish and luxurious experience on the water. It is equipped with a 32 inch touch display with 6 k resolution and a voice control system.
The boat manufacturer TYDE is responsible for the development and realisation of THE ICON, while the design of the craft was created in the studio of BMW Group subsidiary designworks.
2. Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air

In collaboration with Frauscher Shipyards in Austria, Porsche has developed the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air.
The craft is based on the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air day cruiser. It is 8.67 m long and its 2.49 m wide hull has room for up to nine passengers.
The technology includes a lithium-ion high voltage battery with a total capacity of around 100 kWh, a permanently excited synchronous electric motor of the latest generation with a maximum output of 400 kW.
The electric boat can be charged with more than 250 kW of DC current at DC fast-charging stations.

1. E1 Series RaceBirds

With a speed of 93 kph, the E1 Series Racebirds are the world's first high performance all-electric foiling raceboat.
Developed exclusively for the E1 Series, which offers high-speed aquatic action, Seabird developed the craft with a focus on sustainability and innovation in technology. The first prototype was launched in 2022.
With a peak power of 44 kW and a mass under 200 kg, there is nothing similar to this vessel available. It combines sleek ergonomics with near silent performance. The model features a 35 kWh battery and is powered by Mercury Racing's 100% electric outboard engine.
SeaBird Technologies' engineering brings this power to realisation, crafting RaceBirds that harness their 150 kW engines. Seabird is focused on designing innovative solutions to accelerate maritime decarbonisation, combining cutting-edge engineering with design.
While the craft is not commercially available, its technology may influence future commercial electric boats and is paving the way for more sustainable maritime transportation.
