Volkswagen's latest commercial vehicles at IAA 2024 include the new Transporter, expanded ID. Buzz range and innovative fleet solutions

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is set to showcase an impressive line-up of new models at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover, the world's largest trade fair for commercial vehicles.

Running from September 17-22, the event will see the Bulli taking centre stage, with the highly-anticipated world premiere of the completely redesigned Transporter.

The seventh-generation Transporter is the highlight of Volkswagen's IAA exhibit and was officially unveiled on the eve of the trade fair. It promises versatility and innovation and is available in multiple variants including a panel van, Kombi, double cab and Caravelle.

The new Transporter offers a blend of practicality and modern design tailored for various industry needs.

Enhanced shelving system for industry solutions

Volkswagen has introduced a new shelving system in partnership with Sortimo, which was tailored for the new Transporter.

The system caters to different commercial areas, such as trade, courier services and food transport, and can be ordered directly from the factory. Customers can customise the shelving, which is easily installed without complex assembly.

The innovative shelving system is world-first, exclusive to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and will be available for the new Transporter from its market launch in early 2025. Additionally, the system will be available for models like the Caddy and ID. Buzz Cargo and Crafter.

The tool goes beyond conventional fleet management by providing services such as vehicle maintenance notifications, automatic appointment requests and over-the-air software updates.

It also offers real-time vehicle tracking and journey history, making it easier for business owners to manage their fleets efficiently.

New e-charging services with Elli
