RAW Charging thrived in 2024, expanding its EV charger network in the UK & Europe collaborating with leading brands. In 2025, it will continue to expand

RAW Charging has continued to thrive throughout 2024, supported by its existing investors, Antin Infrastructure Partners and Bayford Group. It has experienced significant growth, installing new rapid, ultra-rapid, fast EV chargers across the UK and Europe. The expansion has positioned RAW as a hospitality, leisure and retail leader, working with globally admired brands such as National Trust, Merlin Entertainments, Aviva Investors and abrdn.

In 2025, RAW plans to continue funding, installing and managing AC and DC chargers for major clients, including National Trust, McArthurGlen and Hammerson. These efforts highlight RAW's commitment to making EV charging convenient and accessible across the UK and Europe.

Jason Simpson, CEO of RAW Charging

Jason Simpson, CEO of RAW Charging, highlighted the company's commitment to enhancing the EV charging experience, stating:

Partnerships and hospitality expansion

In the past year and a half, RAW has focused on expanding its charging network across the UK and Europe. It rolled out chargers for Exclusive Hotels and numerous independent hotels nationwide.

Additionally, RAW became the exclusive EV charging partner for major industry names like HOSPA, Small Luxury Hotels, AA Hotels, Hospitality & Visit England and the GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation.

Simon Numphud, Managing Director of AA Hotel Services

Simon Numphud, Managing Director of AA Hotel Services, added:

"We are delighted to welcome RAW Charging Group as an AA partner to our hospitality services. With RAW's leading EV charging solutions and fully funded hospitality-focused offering, we are confident in providing our members with the best services.

There are over 1.5 million electric or hybrid vehicles in the UK and with this set to continue to grow, providing EV charging at your hotel or B&B is becoming more important from a guest perspective."

One of RAW's standout partnerships is with Merlin Entertainments. The company installed EV chargers at five of Merlin's top attractions, including Chessington World of Adventures Resort and Alton Towers. Visitors arriving in EVs can enjoy their day and leave with a fully charged vehicle.

Patrick Begg, Outdoors & Natural Resources Director at the National Trust

Patrick Begg, Outdoors and Natural Resources Director at the National Trust, said: "We are committed to working for a healthier and more beautiful natural environment as the land and properties in our care face their biggest threat from climate change.

"Much of what we look after is rural and reducing the carbon footprint of everyone who travels to our places will be critical to us being able to achieve our climate goals, including to be carbon net-zero by 2030. Installing EV charging points across our nationwide portfolio of places will help build the infrastructure needed to support the transition away from petrol and diesel and support us in fulfilling our charitable purpose of caring for special places for everyone, forever."

Retail sector success

RAW has made significant strides in the retail sector. It is nearing the completion of its EV charger rollout for McArthurGlen in the UK and Europe. Over 450 charging bays were installed across McArthurGlen properties, providing convenient charging options for shoppers.

"We are excited about our partnership with RAW Charging, which aligns perfectly with our commitment to environmental stewardship and enhances the visitor experience at LEGOLAND."

Helen Bull, Divisional Director for LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

Developing EV rapid hubs

RAW collaborates with commercial property owners like Aviva Investors, abrdn and SEGRO to develop brownfield land into EV Rapid Hubs. The hubs offer high-speed charging options and are currently operational in several locations, including Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Durham, Essex and London.
