U Power, a China-based vehicle sourcing services provider aiming to become a leader in EV battery power solutions, has officially commenced commercial operations in Peru. Partnering with Treep Mobility Group S.A.C., a prominent Moto Taxi operator in the region, U Power introduces its innovative UOTTA battery-swapping technology to transform transportation in Peru. It marks a significant milestone for U Power and the local mobility industry as they embrace green and economical solutions.

Successful pilot deployment in Peru

The collaboration between U Power and Treep Mobility began with a successful pilot program in Peru. The pilot included deploying two operational battery-swapping stations, one three-wheeler and ten two-wheeler EVs.

Based on the positive results, Treep Mobility has committed to converting its fleet of traditional fuel-powered vehicles to UOTTA’s battery-swapping model. The ambitious plan is expected to generate total orders exceeding US$1m.
